
Samsung’s Galaxy S24 FE is said to be in development as a lighter version of the Galaxy S24. While initial rumors suggested a possible launch in the summer, current reports suggest that the next fan edition smartphone will hit the market in October. In addition, Samsung could introduce the Galaxy A16 in December. The Galaxy S24 FE comes with the Exynos 2400e chip, One UI 6.1.1 and a 4565mAh battery. The phone is said to have a 6.7-inch screen.

It was previously said that the Galaxy S24 FE would come onto the market in the summer (June to August). The Galaxy S23 FE was announced in October last year, about eight months after the release of the Galaxy S23. Samsung doesn’t have a set launch plan for its FE phones. The Galaxy S22 FE was never released and the Galaxy S21 FE launched in January 2022, a month earlier than the Galaxy S22.

According to the leaked information, the Galaxy S24 FE will come with significant upgrades compared to its predecessor. It is said to have a 6.7-inch display with a maximum brightness of up to 1900 nits and an Exynos 2400e processor. It is expected to ship with One UI 6.1.1 based on Android 14 with several Galaxy AI features such as Portrait Studio, Circle to Search, Generative Edit and Sketch to Image.
The Galaxy S24 FE is said to feature a triple rear camera unit consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide rear camera and an 8MP 3x optical zoom. For selfies, it may have a 10-megapixel front camera. It is expected to be powered by a 4565mAh battery that can provide up to 78 hours of music playback time and up to 29 hours of video playback time on a single charge.
