Reliance Industries Shares Rise After Arm Acquires 49% in Oval Invincibles

Mumbai, December 4 (Udaipur Kiran): Shares of Reliance Industries Limited were trading higher on the BSE on Wednesday after its wholly owned subsidiary acquired a 49 per cent stake in the Oval Invincibles franchise. The stock was trading at Rs. 1,542.35, up by Rs. 3.35 or 0.22 per cent from its previous close of Rs. 1,539.00.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1,536.05 and touched an intra-day high of Rs. 1,560.10 and a low of Rs. 1,534.95. A total of 5,12,862 shares were traded on the counter during the session.

The BSE Group ‘A’ stock with a face value of Rs. 10 has touched a 52-week high of Rs. 1,580.90 on November 28, 2025, and a 52-week low of Rs. 1,115.55 on April 7, 2025. Over the past one week, the stock moved between a high of Rs. 1,580.90 and a low of Rs. 1,533.10. The company’s current market capitalisation stands at Rs. 20,84,271.44 crore.

Promoter holding in the company stands at 50.01 per cent, while institutions and non-institutions hold 39.07 per cent and 10.91 per cent respectively.

Reliance Industries’ wholly owned subsidiary, Reliance Strategic Business Ventures, and Surrey County Cricket Club have entered into a partnership for the Oval Invincibles franchise in The Hundred. Under the completed deal, both organisations now hold 49 per cent and 51 per cent stakes respectively, with ownership transferred from the England and Wales Cricket Board. As part of the new partnership, from 2026 both the men’s and women’s teams will be known as MI London.

The Oval Invincibles are the most successful team in the history of The Hundred, having won five titles in five years. The women’s team won back-to-back titles in the first two years, while the men’s team secured three consecutive titles from 2023 to 2025. The men’s team has been the most dominant global franchise cricket team over the past three years.

Reliance Industries is India’s largest private sector company with operations spanning hydrocarbons, refining, petrochemicals, retail and digital services.
