How OneUI 6.1 update affects Galaxy S23 charging speed
According to a report by Sammobile, a user named “Pruone” shared a post on the Samsung UAE forum claiming that the One UI 6.1 update has limited the Galaxy S23’s charging speed to 15W.
The user shared a screenshot from Electron (an app that displays battery and charging statistics) showing the device charging at 15W. Citing this post, an X/Twitter account with the username @theonecid asked people if they had the same problem.

Many users have admitted that they have noticed that their Galaxy S23 is charging slowly.
When we tested the Samsung Galaxy S23 with One UI 6.1, the smartphone charged at 20W, which is reported to be 5W less than what Samsung claims. During the test, a 120 W PBS charger was used to charge the phone, and the charging speed was measured with a plug-in voltage and current meter.
The report also mentions that charging performance decreases as the battery ratio increases. According to the report, users who reported charging their Samsung Galaxy S23 at 15W may have tested with a higher battery percentage.
