Jaipur, January 2: In a major success against rising digital crimes, Rajasthan Police has emerged as a strong national model in cyber security enforcement. Under the leadership of Director General of Police Rajeev Sharma, the Cyber Crime Branch has taken decisive action against cyber fraud networks, achieving significant results across the state.

In 2025, Rajasthan ranked fifth in the country in terms of freezing fraud-related money, reflecting the effectiveness of its technology-driven policing and coordinated operations. Focused campaigns such as Operation Mule Account, Operation POS, Cyber Shield, Anti-Virus Drive and Operation Vajra Prahar played a key role in dismantling organised cybercrime networks.
According to Inspector General of Police (Cyber Crime) Vikas Sharma, the police blocked nearly 2.5 lakh suspicious mobile numbers and IMEI numbers during the year. Hundreds of mule accounts were identified and frozen, cutting off financial channels used by cyber criminals.
Strong Impact on Crime Data
Official data highlights a visible impact of these measures. While total cyber complaints rose by 27.7 percent from 1,00,032 in 2024 to 1,27,713 in 2025, the number of registered FIRs dropped by 19.7 percent. The total amount involved in cyber fraud cases also declined from ₹795.9 crore in 2024 to ₹768.7 crore in 2025. Most notably, the recovery and freezing of defrauded money saw a sharp rise of 71.3 percent, increasing from ₹104.6 crore to ₹179.15 crore.
Cyber Police Network Strengthened
All 41 revenue districts in Rajasthan now have fully operational cyber police stations. In addition, cyber help desks have been set up at every local police station to ensure quick assistance to victims. The 1930 cyber helpline remains active round the clock, enabling immediate blocking of fraudulent transactions.
Public Awareness and Support Systems
To counter emerging threats such as fake SIM usage, digital arrest scams, banking frauds, and misuse of e-Mitra services, the police have launched extensive public awareness campaigns. Dedicated WhatsApp helpline numbers—9256001930 and 9257510100—have also been made available. Regular advisories through print and electronic media are helping citizens stay alert and informed.
Public Advisory: Anyone falling victim to cyber fraud should immediately call 1930 or register a complaint on cybercrime.gov.in without delay.
