In the history of the IPL, the record for the most half-centuries is held by Virat Kohli, who is also among the top five batsmen with the highest number of half-centuries in the tournament.
Virat Kohli: Kohli leads the IPL with a record of 63 half-centuries in 267 matches. He has also scored 8 centuries in the league and holds the record for the most runs in a single season, amassing 973 runs at a strike rate of 152 in 2016.
David Warner: Warner ranks second in terms of half-centuries, having scored 62 in 184 matches. He has also hit 4 centuries and led Sunrisers Hyderabad to victory as champions in 2017.
Shikhar Dhawan: Dhawan is third on the list with 51 half-centuries from 221 matches. He has also scored 2 centuries in the IPL.
Rohit Sharma: One of the most successful captains in IPL history, Rohit Sharma is fourth, with 49 half-centuries in 272 matches. The upcoming IPL 2026 season presents him with a great opportunity to reach the milestone of 50 half-centuries.
