Paris, August 8 (Udaipur Kiran): At the Paris Olympics 2024, Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra delivered a stellar performance to win the silver medal with a throw of 89.45 meters. Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem set a new Olympic record with a throw of 92.97 meters, securing the gold medal. Grenada’s Anderson Peters won the bronze medal with a throw of 88.54 meters.

Neeraj Chopra’s first attempt was a foul, but he made a strong comeback in his second attempt with an 89.45-meter throw, securing the silver medal position. Unfortunately, Neeraj’s remaining attempts were fouls, but his single successful throw was enough to earn him the second place. This was his best throw of the season, surpassing his previous best of 89.34 meters achieved during the Olympic qualification rounds.

Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem set a new Olympic record with his second throw of 92.97 meters. His sixth and final throw measured 91.79 meters, sealing his victory and earning him the gold medal. This marks Pakistan’s first Olympic medal since the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
