Mumbai, (Udaipur Kiran). Actor Pankaj Tripathi, widely loved for his portrayal of Kaleen Bhaiya in Mirzapur, is stepping into production for the first time. His debut project as a producer, Perfect Family, will be released directly on YouTube on 27 November under a paid-viewing model.
The eight-episode series will be available on a pay-per-view basis, a format seen as a new strategy for long-format content in India. According to reports, this is Pankaj Tripathi’s first project as a producer, marking a new phase in his career as he explores work behind the camera in addition to acting.
Perfect Family is a light-hearted family drama created by Ajay Rai and Mohit Chhabba. Unlike regular free videos on YouTube, the series will require viewers to purchase access. The first two episodes will be available for free, while the remaining episodes can be watched for ₹59.
Calling the release model “bold and necessary,” Pankaj Tripathi said he is excited about the new journey. He said that Perfect Family is very special to him — both for its story and its unique release strategy. He added that YouTube has evolved into a strong platform for large-scale shows, making it a deliberate choice over traditional OTT platforms.
The series features a strong ensemble cast including Gulshan Devaiah, Neha Dhupia, Seema Pahwa, Manoj Pahwa and Jawan fame Girija Oak Godbole. The story revolves around the Karkaria family and their son Dani, an emotional child who experiences a panic attack at school. As the family begins therapy to support him, it gradually becomes clear that each member is dealing with their own issues.
