
The bee attacks took place repeatedly on Wednesday and Thursday and the victims were rushed to the primary health centre where they were discharged after treatment. According to a loca Kamla Shankar Shrimali, bee attacks are common in the area, however people do not report the cases to the administration or forest department.
On Wednesday in Manpura village 11 people who had gone to attend a funeral were attacked by bees. The rites had just begun when suddenly the people were attacked by a large army of the honey bees. People ran to nearby fields to take shelter but many suffered the sting. The victims were taken in private vehicles to Badi Sadri and Kanore hospitals.
On Thursday during some religious function organized at a Bheruji temple, bees from nearby trees were disturbed and attacked the devotees. More than 14 people suffered bee stung who were taken to nearby hospitals.
