New Delhi, May 19 — Smartphone brand OnePlus is all set to launch its much-anticipated OnePlus 13s in India on June 5, 2025. Positioned as an India-exclusive model, the OnePlus 13s aims to combine flagship-tier performance with a streamlined design and new hardware refinements that could redefine the company’s value-centric flagship lineup.

India-Exclusive Model with New Design Identity
OnePlus has officially confirmed that the OnePlus 13s will be available in three premium colour finishes — Black Velvet, Pink Satin, and Green Silk. While the OnePlus 13s borrows its powerplant from its premium sibling, it introduces a design-first in the OnePlus ecosystem — the iconic alert slider is being replaced by a new ‘Plus Key’, similar to Apple’s Action Button on the iPhone. The Plus Key will offer multiple customisable functions, such as toggling ring profiles, initiating recordings, or launching the camera app.
Flagship Performance with Snapdragon 8 Elite
Powering the OnePlus 13s is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the same processor found in the flagship OnePlus 13, Samsung Galaxy S25, and iQOO 13. Coupled with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, the phone is expected to deliver elite performance, whether it’s gaming, multitasking, or photography.
Display and Build
Leaked specifications suggest a 6.32-inch 1.5K 8T LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1600 nits, making it ideal for vivid visuals in bright conditions. Unlike the OnePlus 13’s ultrasonic sensor, the 13s may use an optical fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication. The device is tipped to come with an IP65 rating, offering solid protection against dust and splashes, though not fully waterproof.
Camera and Imaging
For optics, the OnePlus 13s is likely to sport a dual rear camera setup featuring a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary sensor with OIS, accompanied by a 50MP 2x telephoto lens for detailed portrait shots. On the front, a 16MP camera is expected for selfies and video calling. The camera system may lack an ultrawide lens, hinting that OnePlus is focusing on core imaging performance over versatility in this model.
Software and Battery
The device is expected to ship with OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15, ensuring a clean, fast, and feature-rich software experience. Powering the phone will be a sizable 6,260mAh battery with 80W fast charging support, surpassing the OnePlus 13’s 6,000mAh battery — although wireless charging might be excluded on the 13s.
Conclusion
With its top-tier performance, practical features, and India-first strategy, the OnePlus 13s could emerge as a compelling choice for users seeking a performance-packed phone without paying ultra-premium prices. The absence of wireless charging and a third camera may make way for more aggressive pricing, but the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and innovative Plus Key are likely to keep user interest high.
The official unveiling on June 5 will confirm more details, including pricing and availability.
