Nothing Ear Open is now available in India, but as Nothing, the UK startup run by OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei, calls it “the world’s first open-style wireless headset”. It features Nothing’s characteristic transparent design. The Nothing Ear Open has a 14.2mm dynamic driver, besides also coming with an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. They support AI-powered Clear Voice technology that enhances voice quality in calls and comes with a playback time of up to 30 hours on a single charge.

The Nothing Ear Open will also be released in India at a price of Rs. 17,999 and will be available in one White color variant. The company has not yet detailed when the wireless headset will be available, but the device is already available on the company’s website in India.
Nothing Ear Open Specifications
Like other Nothing wired headsets, the Nothing Ear Open sports partly transparent design elements on the stem. It is an open design with a curved band that hooks around the back of the wearer’s ear, and it’s sporting a 14.2mm dynamic driver.
Nothing has also hyped integration with OpenAI’s ChatGPT chatbot, when pairing the headset with a Nothing phone.
Included with the wireless headset are pinched controls, and it supports Swift Pair and Google Fast Pair. Controls and EQ options can be set in these earbuds through an app called Nothing X running on a paired smartphone. The earbuds support Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and they have support for AAC and SBC codecs. Nothing Ear Open can pair to as many as two devices at once.
The Nothing Ear Open has an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. It further carries AI-powered Clear Voice technology that works in use while one makes or receives calls, besides boasting the ability to deliver a less than 120ms latency rate. Unfortunately, though, the headset does not offer support for active noise cancellation.
Both of the earphones take a 64mAh battery, and the case carries a 635mAh. The USB Type-C port will enable one to charge the case. According to the company, the new earbuds offer up to six hours of voice calling and up to eight hours of music playback time without a case.
The new Nothing Ear Open is said to offer up to 30 hours of music playback along with the case. A two-hour listening time can be had with just ten minutes of charge. The earbuds weigh 8.1 grams, while the case weighs in at 63.8 grams.
