The British startup, led by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, announced Friday that Nothing Year and Nothing Year A will launch next month. The company’s third-generation True Wireless Stereo (TWS) audio products are expected to be called Nothing Ear 3, but the company has announced that it will change its product naming strategy in addition to Ear 2 TWS. Headset. Nothing kicks off a second audio product with an ‘a’ suffix like the Phone 2a.

As we reported on Friday, it’s currently unclear if “Year of Nothing A” is a cheaper version of “Year of Nothing.”
Interestingly, Nothing has no plans to release audio products with a letter suffix – the company released the Nothing Phone 2a, a mid-range smartphone that came out a few months after the more expensive Phone 2 was released last year.
If the upcoming Nothing Year A is marketed as a cheaper version of Nothing Year, it could compete with Nothing’s own sub-brand, CMF, which is sold at an affordable price. TWS also offers audio products priced between Rs 2,499 and Rs 3,499. in India. Alternatively, the company offers the Nothing Ear for around 10,000 Marks and the Ear A for around 5,000 Marks.
After the company reached the three-year milestone, the uncontroversial decision was made to ignore the numbers and change its naming strategy to focus more on the product. It can be assumed that later models differ from their predecessors in that they indicate the year of manufacture of the product.
