Bhopal, Mar 3 : With a view to strengthening the role of comm ties in forest management, the Madhya Pradesh Government on Thursday approved the Revised Resolution 2021 seeking public participation for development and conservation of jungles, it was officially learnt. The related Cabinet meeting conducted here was chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The Revised Resolution incorporates modifications in policy, legal and executive environment effected over the past couple of decades. Instead of three types of committees, a single Comm ty Forest Management Committee each will be constituted. By sharing revenue, all committees executing commendable work shall receive dividend. Approval was granted for the 600-MW Omkareshwar Floating Solar facility – the world’s largest – and the 950-MW Chhatarpur Solar Power plant approved under the Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Parks mode. It was decided to amend the policy and guidelines issued in 2019 with the objective of expanding telecomm cation infrastructure in remote forest areas and providing easy Internet connectivity. AC
