Mumbai, May 24 (Udaipur Kiran) – Maruti Suzuki India has announced a price hike across its vehicle lineup from June, citing rising input costs and inflationary pressure. The company said prices of its models will increase by up to ₹30,000 depending on the variant and model.
The company’s best-selling hatchback Maruti Suzuki WagonR will also become costlier. At present, the hatchback starts at an ex-showroom price of ₹4.98 lakh.
Based on the announced hike, the WagonR’s revised ex-showroom prices may increase as follows:

The expected prices are based on the company’s announced maximum hike of ₹30,000. However, the actual increase may vary depending on the variant. The base variants are expected to see a bigger hike, while top-end trims may witness a relatively lower increase.
Talking about features, the WagonR gets a 7-inch SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, cloud-based services, six airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, hill-hold assist in AMT variants, four speakers, steering-mounted controls and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
The hatchback is powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with DualJet Dual VVT technology. The 1.0-litre petrol version claims a mileage of 25.19 kmpl, while the CNG variants deliver a claimed mileage of 34.05 km/kg. The 1.2-litre K-Series DualJet Dual VVT engine offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 24.43 kmpl in AGS trims.
