Google is expected to release Android 14 this month, but some phones will get the Android 13 update a year after release. We’re talking about Motorola phones.
After the Moto G Stylus 2022, another Motorola smartphone is now receiving the Android 13 update. The Moto G62 gets Android 13, the first major update for the device.
Motorola phones are popular for their Android-like user experience. But when it comes to Android updates, even flagship phones get updates six to seven months late, so it’s hard to say.
Some users reported that they already received Android 13 on their Moto G62 5G. This update is currently being rolled out to users in India and Brazil. Must be available in other regions where the device is available.
Android 13 update is rolling out for Moto G62 5G with build number T1SSI33.1-75-7. Since this is a major update, the update weighs around 1.5 GB. Unfortunately, we were not given full details on the changes and improvements this update will bring.
The screenshot shared on Reddit also does not reveal which Android security updates are included.
Given the overwhelming negative reactions to many recent updates, it’s natural to be skeptical about this one as well. Other OEMs have experienced issues like random green or purple lines, or an all black/green screen after an update.
Fortunately, as many users confirm, no one has encountered such a problem. Some users had network issues, but after a reboot and network reset the issue was resolved. Not all information is displayed on the main page of the
update, but there are some changes.
• Customize the app with colors, themes and languages
• Media player with album covers and dance functions
game bar
• Choose which app notifications you want to receive
This could be the only and last major Android update for the Moto G62 5G.
Moto G62 5G users can get Android 13 wirelessly. You can check for updates from the Software Updates page in Settings. However, before upgrading, make sure you back up your data and charge your phone to at least 50%.
