Gold and Silver Prices Today
Gold and silver prices rose on the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Monday, September 4.
Gold futures for October 5, 2023, were trading at Rs 10 per gram on the MCX. 59,526, which was Rs 131, or after a slight increase of 0.22 per cent.
Similarly, silver futures for December 5, 2023 were trading at Rs 118, up 0.16 percent at Rs 75,207 MCX/kg.
Gold and silver closed at Rs 59,395 and Rs 75,089 per 10 grams at the close on September 1.
The price of gold and silver in India depends on many factors, including the value of the rupee against the dollar. Global demand also plays an important role in the price of precious metals.
Gold rose to a one-month high in the previous session on Monday amid some weakening of the dollar and expectations that the US Federal Reserve will refrain from raising interest rates this year, Reuters reported.
According to the latest metals report, spot gold was up 0.3% at $1,945.40 an ounce by 03:34 GMT, after reaching $1,952.79 on Friday. U.S. gold futures rose 0.2% to $1,971.70.
Among other precious metals, spot silver rose $24.27 per ounce, platinum rose 0.1% to $961.51, and palladium rose 0.5% to $1,224.28.
