
Mahindra and Mahindra are gearing up to launch the much-anticipated five-door variant of the Thar SUV on August 15, 2024. Dubbed “Tar Rocks,” this SUV has created a lot of buzz because of its launch and manufacturer. She recently teased us with a look at her model. The latest image released by the company shows the front of the SUV. Here’s a look at what you can expect from Thar Roxx.
Mahindra Tar Rocks: Design
In the latest teaser image, the Thar Roxx shows off a number of impressive improvements that set it apart from its three-door sibling. One of the biggest highlights is the introduction of a vertical double grille with six slats, which underlines the robust and striking look.
The dashboard has been redesigned with round headlights with LED projectors and integrated C-shaped daytime running lights, giving the car a modern touch. The fog lights and indicators are in the same position, but have a softer and gentler design. Other updates include dual-tone ORVMs, silver bumpers and more.
Mahindra Thar Rocks: Features
The Mahindra Tar comes with a host of premium features including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a full-size digital driver display, a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control and a Harman Kardon sound system. On the safety front, the Thar is expected to come with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Hill Descent Control and a 360-degree camera. ADAS technologies such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking may also be included.
Mahindra Thar Rocks: Engine
Mahindra is expected to equip the Thar Roxx with three engines – a 2.0-litre turbo petrol, a 2.2-litre diesel and a new 1.5-litre diesel. These engine options are combined with manual and automatic transmission options. Like the three-door model, the Thar Roxx has rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive as standard.
