New Delhi, September 4 (Kiran News): Veteran Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra on Thursday announced his retirement from professional cricket, bringing an end to a remarkable career that spanned nearly 25 years.
Mishra, known for his consistent performances across formats, said he took the decision due to recurring injuries and to allow the next generation of cricketers more opportunities.
During his career, Mishra delivered several memorable spells for India in Tests, ODIs and T20 Internationals. He was also one of the most successful bowlers in the Indian Premier League (IPL), with multiple hat-tricks to his name. His discipline, hard work and passion for the game earned him admiration and made him an inspiration for countless young cricketers.
Reflecting on his journey, Mishra said: “These 25 years of cricket have been unforgettable for me.
