Harris has formed a campaign team that includes close allies and members from Joe Biden’s election delegation, tasked with managing the operations to secure votes from key selectors. The team includes several Black women who have been involved in Democratic politics for decades.
The team is geared up for a three-month election campaign leading up to the November 5 election. California Senator LaFonza Butler responded to questions about the potential for gender and racial discrimination attacks against Harris, stating, “We have seen these kinds of things. We are not new to politics.” This group of advisors is extremely loyal and passionate about Harris’s career. Many of these advisors have been guiding her since she joined the Senate in 2017.
Harris is entering the campaign field with a group of trusted individuals, many of whom are Black women with extensive experience in Democratic politics, as she prepares for the challenging three-month campaign leading up to the November 5 election.
