Jaipur: In a landmark move aimed at bridging the digital divide, Reliance Jio has extended its 4G and 5G services to more than 45,000 villages across Rajasthan, significantly enhancing rural connectivity. Notably, Jio has become the sole private telecom provider in 54 remote villages, spanning districts such as Bikaner, Jhalawar, and Udaipur. This expansion has brought reliable internet access to previously unconnected regions, facilitating access to online education, e-governance, and modern agricultural technologies.
Transforming Lives in Remote Villages
The introduction of Jio’s high-speed internet services has been a game-changer for countless villages. Villagers, who earlier faced severe connectivity issues, are now benefiting from improved access to essential services and digital platforms.
Meharban Singh, a 24-year-old resident of Luhariya village in Jhalawar, shared his experience:
“Before Jio, there was no network in our village. Now, we can access online education and explore new livelihood opportunities without having to leave.”
Similarly, in villages like Sikarali (Ladnun), Takhatpura (Bikaner), Ranora (Sirohi), Mada, and Patia (Udaipur), Jio’s connectivity has become a vital tool for everyday life. Manmohan, 29, from Koharijhar, noted how Jio’s network has transformed their lives:
“We had to leave our village just to access the internet. Now, with digital services like e-Mitra, job opportunities are being created right here in our hometown.”
Empowering the Youth with New Opportunities
Jio’s high-speed 5G network is also opening doors for the younger generation. With better access to educational resources and online job platforms, rural youth are finding new career opportunities.
Sunil Kumar Meena, a 25-year-old from Dehlawas village in Alwar, highlighted the impact:
“Jio’s 5G network has made studying easier and helped us explore new career paths. Earlier, limited connectivity was a major barrier, but now things are changing rapidly.”

By continuing to invest heavily in Rajasthan’s digital infrastructure, Jio is not just providing connectivity—it is driving digital inclusion, fostering economic growth, and creating new job opportunities in rural areas.
