A senior police official said the members of Aman Committee from Jahangirpuri, Mahendra Park and Adarsh Nagar took part in the meeting with the area Deputy Commissioner and tried to maintain peace and harmony in the area. During the meeting, all the members were asked to appeal to the public in their areas to maintain peace, harmony and tranquillity, said Police. Aman Committee members were also requested to counter any rumour or misinformation, be vigilant towards the activities of any anti-social elements, to keep in touch with police and to ensure immediate reporting of anything suspicious that comes into their notice.
