New Delhi, February 16: The India AI Impact Summit is set to commence today, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This summit marks the first time it is being held in the Global South, attracting global leaders and industry experts. PM Modi emphasized that the summit aims to enhance global discussions on various aspects of artificial intelligence, including innovation, collaboration, and responsible use.
In a post on the social media platform X, PM Modi stated, “Bringing the world together to discuss AI! Starting today, India is hosting the AI Impact Summit at India Mandapam in Delhi. I warmly welcome leaders, industry captains, innovators, policymakers, researchers, and tech enthusiasts from around the globe. The theme of the summit is ‘Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvajan Sukhay,’ which signifies our shared commitment to using artificial intelligence for human-centric progress.”
He added, “AI is transforming various sectors today, including health, education, agriculture, governance, and enterprise. The AI Impact Summit will enhance global conversations on various aspects of AI, such as innovation, collaboration, and responsible use. I am confident that the outcomes of the summit will help create a future that is progressive, innovative, and opportunity-based.”
PM Modi noted that India, with its 1.4 billion people, is at the forefront of AI transformation. He highlighted the country’s advancements in digital public infrastructure, a vibrant startup ecosystem, and cutting-edge research as evidence of both goals and responsibilities in AI development.
In a previous post, PM Modi expressed pride in the global participation at the ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026,’ showcasing the potential of India’s youth and the country’s rapid progress in science and technology, contributing significantly to global development.
He also shared a cultural quote, stating, “In the realms of generosity, penance, valor, science, humility, and leadership, one always finds excellent examples, as this earth is filled with countless precious gems. Therefore, one should not be surprised by new inventions and innovations in fields like science and technology.”
The Prime Minister will officially inaugurate the ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’ today at 5 PM at India Mandapam in Delhi. The event will take place from February 16 to 20, alongside the ‘India AI Impact Expo 2026.’
