IAF Says Chinese Missile Shot Down, Pakistan Could Not Breach Indian Defense System

New Delhi, May 12, 2025 — In the wake of recent hostilities along the India-Pakistan border, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has confirmed that Chinese-made missiles launched by Pakistan were intercepted and destroyed mid-air by India’s advanced air defense systems. This announcement was made during a joint press conference held by the Indian armed forces on Monday, following the temporary ceasefire declared between the two countries.

🇮🇳 India’s Response Under Operation Sindoor

Air Marshal A.K. Bharti addressed the media and emphasized that Operation Sindoor, conducted on May 7, was aimed solely at terrorist infrastructure within Pakistan-controlled territories. “Our targets were precise. We eliminated threats without engaging Pakistani military installations,” he stated.

However, in retaliation, Pakistan attempted to launch counterstrikes using Chinese and Turkish drones and missiles, all of which, according to the IAF, were successfully neutralized by India’s multi-layered air defense systems.

“Their aggression was miscalculated. None of their drones or missiles breached our defense shield,” Bharti confirmed.

💥 Pakistan’s Noor Khan Airbase Destroyed

Following Pakistan’s escalated response, India launched a strategic counter-operation, striking key Pakistani airbases, including the Noor Khan Airbase, resulting in severe infrastructural damage.

“Without crossing the border, we delivered a crippling blow. The devastation of their airfields is evident, and Pakistan alone is to blame for its losses,” the Air Marshal added.

He also reiterated India’s stance — the operation was never intended to provoke a war with Pakistan’s military. “Our mission was anti-terror. But if provoked, we have the capability and resolve to respond — anytime, anywhere,” he stated firmly.

🛡️ India’s Air Defense and Strategic Readiness

The IAF has underlined that all frontline fighter aircraft and missile systems are combat-ready. “We demonstrated restraint, precision, and strength. Our defense forces are alert and equipped to neutralize threats from any direction,” said Bharti.

This declaration follows Sunday’s Army briefing that dismantled Pakistan’s disinformation campaign, asserting that all Indian objectives under Operation Sindoor were achieved, and India’s response to subsequent Pakistani action was measured yet overwhelming.

🌐 Global Signal of Strength

India’s successful neutralization of high-tech foreign missiles and drones sent a strong message to the international community, showcasing its technological and military superiority. Defense analysts believe this may influence regional deterrence dynamics significantly.
