Udaipur, April 5, 2025 — Hindustan Zinc Limited, a Vedanta Group company and the world’s largest integrated zinc producer, continues its commitment to rural empowerment through its flagship skill development initiative, Zinc Kaushal Kendra. In a major milestone, the company facilitated job placements for over 500 rural youth across districts like Udaipur, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, and Rajsamand during a recently organized job fair.

40+ Companies Participate in Recruitment Drive
The employment fair brought together more than 40 companies from sectors including tourism, retail, banking, and microfinance. Notable recruiters included HDFC Bank, Arcgate, Reliance Retail, Annapurna Finance, SBI Cap Securities, and hospitality leaders like Sinclair Hotels and Sajjan Palace. The initiative reflects Hindustan Zinc’s vision of bridging the urban-rural divide and enabling sustainable livelihoods for rural youth.
Since its inception, Zinc Kaushal Kendra has empowered over 7,000 individuals, with 40% of placements going to female candidates. The centers, located at operational hubs in Dariba, Agucha, Kayad, Udaipur, and Zawar, offer short-term courses in various trades such as retail, unarmed security, electrical services, food and beverage, and microfinance. Trained youth have secured jobs in cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ajmer, Bhilwara, and Lonavala, with monthly salaries ranging from ₹14,000 to ₹30,000.

To mark the occasion, the event also hosted an inspiring session by Sufiya Sufi, Hindustan Zinc’s Health & Fitness Brand Ambassador and ultramarathon runner. Her motivational journey resonated deeply with attendees, as she emphasized the value of resilience, consistency, and goal-setting in building successful careers.
