Udaipur, February 24, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) – Development works undertaken by Hindustan Zinc Limited are changing the condition and direction of villages around Debari, said Mavli MLA Pushkar Lal Dangi on Sunday.

He was addressing villagers as the chief guest during the foundation ceremony of a CC road construction project at Govla Putiya village under the Zinc Smelter Gram Panchayat. The project has been initiated by Hindustan Zinc’s Debari Zinc Smelter under its rural development initiatives.
The MLA said the company’s support in basic sectors such as roads, water, education and healthcare is significantly improving the standard of living of villagers. He urged residents to maintain positive and strong relations with the company so that such development works continue in the future.
“Real and sustainable development becomes possible only when industry and society work together,” he said.
Acting President Mangilal Ahir stated that the works being carried out by Hindustan Zinc Limited under CSR and welfare initiatives are inspiring for society. He said contributions in areas like education, drinking water and infrastructure are laying a strong foundation for growth.
General Secretary Prakash Shrimali said the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) has always stood for public interest and workers’ welfare. With the support of Hindustan Zinc, new momentum has been given to education, women empowerment and social upliftment in the region.
CSR Head Ruchika Chawla said the company remains committed to the holistic development of society and will continue working with the community towards sustainable development and empowerment in the coming years.
Former Sarpanch Babu Singh Devda, Mahendra Singh Ranawat, Chunnilal Dangi, Narayan Lal Gayari, Kailash Dangi, Hiralal Meghwal Meghraj, CSR department’s Arpana Vyas and several employees, along with hundreds of villagers, were present at the programme.
The CC road work is part of the series of development initiatives being undertaken by Hindustan Zinc Smelter Debari in nearby villages under its CSR activities. Villagers expressed gratitude to the company and public representatives for starting the road construction work, which commenced after a formal पूजा ceremony.
