Udaipur, May 17 (Udaipur Kiran) – Hindustan Zinc and V-Spark Deeptech Ventures have launched a major artificial intelligence-led initiative aimed at generating an additional Rs 2,000 crore in value across mining, smelting and manufacturing operations.

The initiative was announced during the successful organisation of ‘Ginnovation 2026’, a global innovation platform focused on accelerating AI adoption in industrial operations.
The event brought together global technology companies including Microsoft, Google, Siemens, ABB, Sandvik and XCMG, along with several emerging startups working in robotics, asset management and data analytics.
According to the company, the identified value pool is expected to come through higher productivity, cost optimisation, improved asset reliability, energy efficiency, enhanced safety, better recovery and faster decision-making across Hindustan Zinc’s mines and smelters.
Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed during the event with companies including XCMG, Sandvik, STL Digital and Aveva. V-Spark also partnered with startups such as Beta Tanks Robotics, Symboticware AI, Kernelly, Uncharted Technologies, Infinite Uptime, Intellisense.io and Flutura for pilot projects and technology evaluations.
Priya Agarwal Hebbar said the future of manufacturing will depend on the ability to scale with intelligence and technology. She said Hindustan Zinc is embedding technology into its core operations to build a modern metals enterprise focused on safety, sustainability and global standards.
The discussions at Ginnovation 2026 focused on high-impact industrial AI applications including predictive maintenance, digital twins, connected operations, autonomous systems, computer vision, robotic applications and real-time decision intelligence.
Akarsh Hebbar said the next phase of industrial leadership will be driven by AI and collaborative innovation ecosystems. He added that the platform aims to connect startups, technology leaders and businesses to solve large-scale industrial challenges.
The event also showcased Hindustan Zinc’s digital mining and smelting capabilities, including tele-remote operations, advanced winder simulators and virtual demonstrations of mining operations.
Industry leaders and technology experts attending the programme included Arun Misra, Amitesh Sinha and senior executives from Microsoft India, Google India, Siemens Digital, Sandvik and XCMG.
The company said Hindustan Zinc is currently working on more than 100 projects with over 50 startups through V-Spark, aimed at improving production efficiency and reducing operational costs.
