Hero MotoCorp Shares Edge Higher After 8% Rise in September Sales

Mumbai, October 3 (Udaipur Kiran News): Shares of Hero MotoCorp gained over 1% on Thursday after the company reported a 7.88% year-on-year increase in total sales for September 2025, driven by strong growth in both motorcycles and scooters.

The two-wheeler major dispatched 6,87,220 units during the month, compared to 6,37,050 units in September 2024. Domestic sales stood at 6,47,582 units, while exports accounted for 39,638 units.

In the motorcycle segment, Hero MotoCorp sold 6,26,217 units, marking a 4.80% increase over 5,97,529 units sold a year ago. The scooter segment witnessed robust growth of 54.36%, with 61,003 units sold compared to 39,521 units in the same period last year.

The company also reported 3.23 lakh VAHAN registrations, reflecting a 19% year-on-year growth. Overall, Hero MotoCorp recorded a 11.3% growth in Q2 FY26, supported by the strategic diversification of its product portfolio into new segments.

At the BSE, the stock was trading at ₹5,493.00, up ₹63.50 or 1.17% from the previous close of ₹5,429.50. The stock touched a high of ₹5,507.10 and a low of ₹5,369.00 during the session. The company’s market capitalization stands at ₹1,09,066.99 crore.

Promoters hold 34.74%, while institutions and non-institutional investors own 54.88% and 10.38%, respectively.
