A recent post shared by Dylan Roussel on the social media platform claims that it could be installed. Additionally, Pixel 9 smartphones may also support AI aggregation of these transcriptions. However, the post does not confirm the regions where the feature will be available on Pixel 9 smartphones.
It’s important to note that iOS 18 also adds the ability to record, transcribe, and transcribe live calls on iPhone. Apple has confirmed that users will be notified when the feature is enabled and is available in English (US, UK, Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore) and Spanish (US, Mexico, Spain) (France). ), German (Germany), Japanese (Japan), Chinese (Mainland China, Taiwan), Cantonese (Mainland China, Hong Kong), Portuguese (Brazil).
Google is also expected to have the same security/privacy features as Apple. Pixel phones already support transcription and summarization features through the Recorder app, and call notes will be part of the Phone by Google app.
Future features may be offered by Gemini Nano to ensure on-device privacy. The add-on also complements other Call Assist Pixel features including Call Screen, Hold for Me and Direct My Call.
Meanwhile, the Pixel 9 could also introduce a “redesigned Panorama mode.” With the Pixel 8 series, Google is foregoing the popular Photo Sphere function, which some users prefer to Panorama. The Panorama Mode UI remained unchanged for several years.
