New Delhi, April 23 (Udaipur Kiran): Apple is reportedly planning significant camera upgrades for its upcoming iPhone Pro models, aiming to compete with flagship Android devices from brands like Vivo and Huawei.

According to leaks shared by tipster Digital Chat Station, the company may introduce a variable aperture feature in the iPhone 18 Pro. This technology could allow better control over depth of field, improving photography performance in different lighting conditions.
The report also suggests that the iPhone 19 Pro and future Pro models could feature larger camera sensors, possibly around 1/1.12-inch, for the primary camera. In addition, Apple is said to be working on a 200-megapixel sensor, which may be used for the telephoto camera.
The company is also expected to develop an ultra-wide angle camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), marking a shift from its current approach where OIS is mainly used in the primary camera. These upgrades are aimed at delivering sharper images, improved long exposure shots and better low-light performance.
The move is seen as part of Apple’s broader strategy to strengthen its position in mobile photography, especially against high-end Android smartphones such as the Vivo X300 Ultra and Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max.
