
Kanpur : A fire broke out on Saturday midnight in the hut of Prakash, a resident of Banjara Dera, located in Haramau under the Rura police station area of the Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. This resulted in the death of a total of five people including parents and three children.
Other family members have been admitted to the district hospital. The District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police reached the spot and consoled the family. The dead include Satish (30), his wife Kajal (26), and three children Sunny (6), Sandeep (5) and Gudiya (3).
The villagers say that after informing the police, they started pouring water into the hut, but by then the hut was burnt to ashes. As soon as the information was received, the District Magistrate Neha Jain along with the Fire Brigade, and Superintendent of Police BBGTS Murthy reached with the top officials. The Superintendent of Police says it is a sad incident. The cause of the fire is not yet clear.
