
Udaipur : Dr. N. K. Gupta, Professor and Head of the Department of Medicine at Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences, PIMS Hospital Umerda, was awarded the Fellow of Indian College of Physicians (FICP) at the annual conference of the Association of Physicians of India held at Bharat Mandap, New Delhi. The award was presented to Dr. Gupta by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of Science and Technology in the Government of India, for his research on stem cells.

In the same event, Colonel Abhay Singh Deora of the 1971 batch of RNT Medical College Udaipur was awarded the FICSP for his selfless service to the general public during his tenure in the Indian Army. He is currently the head of IIT Jodhpur.
