
Udaipur : Tragedy struck Udaipur as Vishwajeet Singh Shaktawat, the General Secretary of Commerce College, was found dead in his residence in the Savina area. Singh allegedly died by suicide, though the reasons remain unclear.
According to the police, Vishwajeet, a resident of Sheetal Colony in Teetardi, was home alone on Tuesday while his family had gone to visit relatives in Dewali. Upon returning in the evening, the family found the house locked from the inside. Despite repeated attempts to get a response, there was no answer. They broke open the door and discovered Vishwajeet’s lifeless body hanging in his room.
The family rushed him to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Authorities were informed, and the body was moved to the mortuary at MB Hospital. The post-mortem is scheduled for Wednesday.
Police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances leading to the death. No suicide note was recovered, and the motive behind this tragic step remains unknown. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community and the college, where Vishwajeet was an active student leader.
