Lucknow, June 22: The controversy surrounding donations for the Ram Mandir has sparked a strong response from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), with key leaders accusing Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav of indulging in appeasement politics. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, along with ministers Dharmapal Singh and Danish Azad Ansari, addressed the issue, responding to Yadav’s comments made on social media platform X.
Yadav had expressed concerns about the Special Investigation Team (SIT), suggesting that the investigation report might be tampered with. In response, Pathak stated, “The SIT’s time is up, and as soon as the investigation report is released, the government will act with full commitment. Those indulging in appeasement politics should introspect on the irregularities in madrasas and shrines.”
Minister Dharmapal Singh commented on the alliance between the SP and Congress for the upcoming elections, stating that previous collaborations had not been successful and that the public would not be affected by their partnership. He criticized the SP as a party plagued by guilt, alleging that development was only concentrated around the Saifai region during their governance.
On the Ram Mandir donation issue, Singh accused Yadav of trying to incite religious sentiments to appease Muslims. Minister Danish Azad Ansari remarked that the SP is living in a fantasy world, disconnected from reality. He claimed that the public is ready to respond to their falsehoods in the upcoming elections, predicting that the BJP would secure a significant majority in 2027.
