Yellow Alert Issued for Several Districts

In light of current weather conditions, the Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow alert for several districts in south Bihar, including Patna, Nalanda, Buxar, Bhagalpur, Jehanabad, Lakhisarai, and Arwal. The alert warns residents about the likelihood of cold weather conditions and advises precautions during early mornings and nights.

Similarly, in north Bihar, districts such as Samastipur, Katihar, Gopalganj, Supaul, Siwan, Saran, West Champaran, Vaishali, Sitamarhi, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Purnia, and Kishanganj are witnessing moderate to dense fog in the early hours of the day. These districts have also been placed under yellow alert, with warnings about reduced visibility and potential travel disruptions caused by the dense fog.

Impact on Daily Life

The dip in temperature and the presence of dense fog in many areas could impact daily life, particularly early morning travel. Drivers are urged to exercise caution due to low visibility and slippery road conditions caused by dew and fog. Farmers have also been advised to take protective measures for their crops to mitigate the impact of the cold wave.

With temperatures set to remain on the lower side, authorities have recommended wearing warm clothing, especially during the early morning and late evening hours, to avoid health complications like colds and respiratory issues.

Rising Temperature Expected After Two Days

While the current cold wave continues to grip the state, meteorologists predict a slight increase in temperature after two days. This will offer some respite to residents experiencing the current spell of cold weather.
