Australian All-Rounder Grace Harris Joins Surrey for Inaugural Women’s Vitality Blast

First Overseas Player Signed in the New Era of English Women’s County Cricket

New Delhi, March 20: Australian all-rounder Grace Harris has signed with Surrey for the inaugural edition of the Women’s Vitality Blast in England. The experienced cricketer, who has represented Australia in 62 international matches, becomes Surrey Women’s first overseas signing. Her inclusion also marks the first-ever international player contract in the newly professionalized era of women’s county cricket in England and Wales.

The Women’s Vitality Blast 2025 is set to make history by featuring both men’s and women’s county teams in the same competition format for the first time. Harris will make her debut for Surrey on June 5 at The Kia Oval against Hampshire Hawks, in a double-header alongside the men’s match.

Harris also played a pivotal role in the Women’s Ashes T20I series against England, where Australia dominated with a 16-0 victory.
