Trinidad, August 3: In the ongoing second Test match of the series, Pakistan dismissed West Indies for 344 runs in their first innings on Monday. Key contributions came from Justin Greaves and captain Roston Chase, who both scored half-centuries. Sajid Khan was the standout bowler for Pakistan, claiming four wickets. The match is currently in its second day.
West Indies won the toss and opted to bat first at the Queen’s Park Oval. Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Brandon King put together a partnership of 49 runs for the first wicket. Chanderpaul scored 15 runs with two boundaries before getting out, while King managed to score 46 runs, hitting nine fours.
The Caribbean team lost four wickets by the time they reached a score of 120. Shai Hope then partnered with Justin Greaves, adding 53 runs for the fifth wicket off 93 balls, taking the score to 173. Hope scored 29 runs with four boundaries before returning to the pavilion.
Captain Roston Chase then joined forces with Greaves, forming a sixth-wicket partnership of 96 runs. Greaves scored 73 runs off 150 balls, including nine fours.
