The celebrations held on Friday at Lok Bhawan in Itanagar marked the foundation days of Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Himachal Pradesh, celebrated with great enthusiasm and cultural vibrancy.

Addressing the event, the Governor noted that these celebrations provide an opportunity for people to share experiences, understand each other’s aspirations, and discuss the challenges faced by communities living away from their home states.

He further mentioned that such initiatives bring people closer and strengthen the spirit of nationalism, unity, and collective engagement.

Governor Parnaik and the First Lady of the state, Anagha Parnaik, graced the occasion with their presence. A large number of people from Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Himachal Pradesh residing in Arunachal Pradesh attended the event.

Organized by Lok Bhawan, the event aimed to promote mutual respect, cultural exchange, and national unity, reflecting the true spirit of the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative.

He also fondly remembered the significant contributions of the people of Maharashtra to the social development of Arunachal Pradesh, especially in the years following the 1962 war, when the spirit of national unity played a crucial role in the reconstruction and strengthening of communities.

The program featured a splendid presentation of cultural performances that showcased the diversity and vibrancy of India’s traditions.
