Quetta (Balochistan), October 7 (Udaipur Kiran): In a shocking incident in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, armed men set fire to a court building in Kharan district and abducted Judge Mohammad Jan Baloch. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Meanwhile, reports have emerged that the Pakistani Army has abducted four individuals, including a woman, from Khuzdar district.

According to a report published by The Balochistan Post on October 6, a large group of armed men surrounded the court building in Kharan and set it ablaze before kidnapping Judge Baloch. The incident has heightened concerns amid a growing number of abductions of senior government officials in the province.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner of Tamp area in Kech district and the son of the Deputy Commissioner of Ziarat district were also kidnapped. The Balochistan Liberation Front had claimed responsibility for the Deputy Commissioner’s abduction, who was later released. However, the Ziarat DC’s son remains missing.
In a separate development, the Pakistani Army has imposed a curfew in Zehri tehsil of Khuzdar district, sealing all entry and exit points. A heavy military presence has been reported in Noorgama town, where security forces conducted house raids and allegedly abducted four people, including Safia Bibi. The other detainees have been identified as Zahid wuld Aziz, Asif Baloch, and Asad.
