Antalya (Turkey), April 20 : India men’s compound team of Abhishek Verma, Aman Saini and Rajat Chauhan sailed into the final of Archery World Cup Stage 1 here on Wednesday. India, seeded ninth, overcame the fifth seeded Great Britain by 236-235 in the semifinal. In the final, scheduled on Saturday, India and France will lock horns for the top spot on the podium. After receiving a Bye in the opening round, India started its campaign in the second round with a 237-232 win over Italy. It outplayed Turkey 235-233 in the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, compound women’s team of Muskan Kirar, Avneet Kaur and Priya Gurjar lost to Turkey 233-235 in the quarterfinal after a 234-224 win over Portugal in the opening round. The stage winners will automatically book a ticket for the Archery World Cup Final, Mexico in October. BAV
