Apple has released a fix for a bug in iOS 17.5 that caused deleted photos to reappear in the Photos library. The iPhone maker releases iOS 17.5.1 update that fixes the problem.
Earlier this month, several Apple users complained that photos were deleted years ago after installing iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5. However, this does not apply to all iPhone and iPad users. However, the company released a fix for this issue in the iOS 17.5.1 and iPadOS 17.5.1 updates.

“This update includes important bug fixes and resolves a rare issue where photos with a corrupted database reappear in Photos Library after being deleted,” Apple said in the update’s release notes.
Install the update
Apple iPhone and iPad users can install the latest iOS 17.5.1 and iPadOS 17.5.1 updates by following these steps:
- Open your device settings
- Click the “General” button
- Then click the “Software Update” button.
- If you have received the update on your iPhone/iPad, you can check here.
- Click “Update Now” to download and install.
