Mumbai, March 1, 2025: Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited Chairman Akash Ambani has declared Artificial Intelligence (AI) as the most transformative force of this generation, predicting that it will serve as India’s primary growth engine in the coming years. Speaking at the ‘Mumbai Tech Week 2025’ at Jio World Center, Ambani emphasized that AI-driven innovation will enable India to achieve a double-digit GDP growth rate and strengthen its position as a global technology powerhouse.

During a fireside chat with Dream11 CEO Harsh Jain, Ambani reiterated Jio’s commitment to AI leadership, revealing that the company has assembled a dedicated team of over 1,000 data scientists, engineers, and researchers to spearhead AI-driven initiatives.

Jio is making major investments in AI infrastructure, including the construction of a gigawatt-capacity data center in Jamnagar to support India’s AI ecosystem.
