Advocacy is the Voice of the Poor, Says Retiring Judge
Udaipur: Special Judge of the Industrial Labor Court, Sushil Kumar Jain, retired after an illustrious 35-year tenure in the judiciary. On his retirement, judicial officers, members of the District Bar Association, and advocates honored him with an emotional farewell at the Udaipur Labor Court.

A Distinguished Judicial Career Spanning Three Decades
Born into a family of legal professionals in Jhunjhunu, Sushil Kumar Jain began his judicial career in 1993 as a Judicial Magistrate in Churu. Over the years, he served in various capacities across Rajasthan, including positions in Badi Sadri, Jaipur, Mavli, Udaipur, Dungarpur, Alwar, Bundi, Bharatpur, Banswara, Bikaner, Raisinghnagar, and Barmer. In 2000, he was promoted to Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, followed by his elevation to Chief Judicial Magistrate in 2008. By 2016, he assumed the role of Additional District and Sessions Judge, and in 2021, he reached the District Judge cadre. His final posting was as Special Judge in the Udaipur Labor Court, where he completed his dedicated judicial service.

Before his retirement, Judge Jain addressed the legal fraternity, emphasizing the noble responsibility of advocates. He stated, “The legal profession is sacred and must always uphold its dignity. Lawyers serve as the voice of the poor, ensuring justice for marginalized sections of society.” His words resonated with the attendees, highlighting the profound impact of legal professionals in upholding justice.
