ACB Action in Udaipur

Patwari Demanded Bribe for Land Partition Work

According to officials, Rajesh Meena, a patwari posted in Vallabhnagar Tehsil, was caught while accepting a bribe of ₹10,000. The total bribe amount was allegedly negotiated at ₹12,000 for a land partition task.

Bribe Complaint Filed by Land Buyer

On 14 July 2025, complainant Rameshchandra Dangi lodged a report with the ACB. He stated that he had purchased around 5 bighas of land from Prabhulal Meghwal in February 2025, which was registered under his friend Bharat Meghwal’s name. The land was recorded under a “Shamilat” (joint ownership) account.

To get the land partitioned, Rameshchandra approached Patwari Rajesh Meena and submitted an application for the necessary official process. However, Meena allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹15,000 and refused to process the work without payment. After negotiation, the deal was finalised at ₹12,000.

ACB Trap Executed After Verification

Following the complaint, ACB conducted a verification and found that Meena had already accepted ₹2,000 as partial payment. On 24 July, the ACB intelligence unit set a trap and successfully caught Rajesh Meena red-handed while accepting the remaining ₹10,000.
