Odisha SI Recruitment Exam: Candidates Must Update Data by October 29
Odishas OUSSSSC has announced that candidates for the SI exam must update their data by October 29, 2026, to ensure eligibility.
Bhubaneswar, October 14 (Udaipur Kiran) : The Odisha Uniformed Services Staff Selection Commission (OUSSSSC) has issued an important notification for candidates applying for the Combined Police Service Examination-2024 (CPS Exam-2024). All applicants for the Sub-Inspector level exam are required to update and validate their data by October 29, 2026.
The commission has specified that candidates should complete their online data updates and verifications between October 15 and October 29, 2026. The online facility will be available on the official OUSSSSC website, opening at 10 AM on October 15 and closing at 10 PM on October 29.
This directive applies to all applicants, including those eligible under age relaxation rules. The commission has clarified that only the data updated and verified by candidates will be considered final for all subsequent stages of the examination and related processes. Therefore, candidates are strongly advised to complete this process within the stipulated timeframe. Failure to update their data may result in the acceptance of outdated information, potentially leading to complications later on.
This notification was issued on October 14, 2026, under the office order number 713/OUSSSSC, following the chairman’s directives.
It is noteworthy that the SI recruitment examination in Odisha has been in the spotlight due to a previous paper leak controversy. The exam was canceled last October after the leak came to light, leading to investigations by the CBI and ED. The OUSSSSC is now moving forward with the examination process anew.
The commission has urged candidates not to wait until the deadline and to verify their information on the website promptly, ensuring that details such as name, date of birth, category, educational qualifications, and other relevant information are accurate.
