Jodhpur, May 5, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): In view of rising passenger rush during summer holidays, North Western Railway has extended services of three long-distance summer special trains connected to Jodhpur. A total of eight additional trips have been added, offering relief to passengers with better chances of confirmed berths.

According to Additional Divisional Railway Manager Karni Ram, Train No. 04829/04830 Jodhpur–Gorakhpur weekly special will now run with eight extra trips. From May 21 to July 9, the train will depart every Thursday at 4:15 pm from Jodhpur and reach Gorakhpur on Friday at 8:50 pm, passing through stations including Merta Road, Degana, Didwana, Sujangarh, Ratangarh, Churu, Loharu, Rewari, Delhi, Lucknow, Ayodhya Cantt, Basti, and Khalilabad. In return, the train will operate from May 22 to July 10, departing Gorakhpur every Friday at 11:25 pm and arriving in Jodhpur on Sunday at 5:30 am.
Similarly, Train No. 04823/04824 Jodhpur–Mau weekly special will also run with eight additional trips. From May 24 to July 12, it will depart Jodhpur every Sunday at 5:00 pm and reach Mau on Monday at 11:20 pm via Jaipur, Phulera, Lucknow, Ayodhya, and Azamgarh. The return service will operate from May 26 to July 14, leaving Mau every Tuesday at 4:00 am and reaching Jodhpur on Wednesday at 8:40 am.
In addition, the Lalkuan–Rajkot weekly special (Train Nos. 05045/05046) will also see an extension, with nine additional trips scheduled between May 17 and July 13.
Railway officials said the extension will improve connectivity between North and Western India, ease summer travel congestion, and provide relief to waitlisted passengers.
Meanwhile, Train No. 17605 Kacheguda–Bhagat Ki Kothi Express will be regulated on May 14 due to signalling work between Purna Junction and Hazur Sahib Nanded under South Central Railway. The train will be delayed by approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes during its journey.
