Mumbai, November 8 (Udaipur Kiran) — The box office clash of three films on November 7 saw Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi starrer Haq taking the lead with a strong opening and positive audience response. Despite competition, the film managed to outperform others and earn encouraging reviews from both critics and viewers.

According to box office tracker Sacnilk, Haq collected around ₹2.03 crore on its opening day. While the film’s estimated budget is between ₹20–25 crore, trade analysts have described its start as slow but steady, adding that collections are expected to rise over the weekend due to strong word-of-mouth publicity.
Yami Gautam’s performance earns praise
Critics have lauded Yami Gautam’s powerful and emotionally grounded performance, calling it one of her most compelling roles yet. Her on-screen pairing with Emraan Hashmi has also been appreciated by audiences.
Directed by Suparn Verma, Haq tackles a significant social and legal subject, drawing inspiration from the life and legal battle of Shah Bano Begum. The film reflects on women’s rights and justice, echoing the landmark 1985 Supreme Court judgment that granted divorced Muslim women the right to maintenance.
With strong performances and a thought-provoking storyline, Haq is expected to gain further momentum over the weekend as audiences continue to respond positively.
