Mumbai, May 21: The much-anticipated trailer of Bobby Deol’s film ‘Bandar’ was released on Thursday. Inspired by true events, the film tells the story of a man who faces false accusations of rape after using a dating app, leading him to prison.
In the two-and-a-half-minute trailer, Bobby showcases a unique style that has left fans excited about the film. He portrays a famous star whose once-bright fame is beginning to fade. On stage, he appears flamboyant and arrogant, but in reality, he is deeply lonely. To combat his solitude, he turns to a dating app and swipes right on several girls, only to encounter a name that changes everything.
Shortly after the trailer begins, the story takes a dramatic turn. The girl Bobby is seen laughing and smiling with suddenly accuses him of rape, leaving him behind bars moments later. His smile vanishes, applause fades, and his world seems to become confined. This story, inspired by true events, unveils the layers of a system that does not always make the right decisions.
The trailer features stars like Sanya Malhotra, Raj B., Shetty, Sapna Pabbi, Saba Azad, Riddhi Sen, Jitendra Joshi, and Nagesh Bhosale, who enhance the narrative with their powerful performances. This film marks the first collaboration between Anurag Kashyap and Bobby Deol on a project.
