Colombo, October 5 (Udaipur Kiran): Team India continued their dominance over arch-rivals Pakistan with a convincing 88-run victory in the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. With this win, India extended its unbeaten streak against Pakistan to 12 matches in ODI history.

Batting first, India were bowled out for 247 runs in 50 overs. Harleen Deol top-scored with 46 runs, while Jemimah Rodrigues (32) and Deepti Sharma (25) provided valuable contributions. At the death, Richa Ghosh played a blistering 35 off 20 balls*, smashing three fours and two sixes to lift India past the 240-mark. Openers Smriti Mandhana (23) and Pratika Rawal (23) gave India a steady start.
For Pakistan, Diana Baig was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets for 69 runs in her 10 overs. Fatima Sana and Sadia Iqbal claimed two wickets each.
Chasing 248, Pakistan faltered under pressure and were bundled out for 159 in 43 overs. Sidra Ameen was the lone standout with a gritty 81-run knock, but lacked support from the other end.
India’s bowling attack, led by Deepti Sharma and Kranti Gaud, dismantled Pakistan’s lineup with three wickets each, while Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar chipped in with one wicket apiece.
This emphatic win reinforced India’s dominance in the Indo-Pak women’s cricket rivalry, as the team maintained a perfect record — winning all 12 ODIs played so far.
