New Delhi, June 11: Film director Vikram Bhatt has lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that he has instilled a sense of confidence and security among the citizens of India. Bhatt emphasized the need for trustworthy leaders during challenging times, noting that PM Modi has fostered belief among the people that India will not bow to external pressures, particularly through his firm stance on international challenges and security issues.
In an interview, Bhatt remarked that every nation requires leaders who command respect and pride, capable of guiding citizens through difficult circumstances. He stated, “PM Modi has instilled in us the confidence that we will not yield to other powers. Whether it is the US-Iran conflict, unjust taxes imposed on us, tariffs, or the issue of Pahalgam, he has stood firm and declared – enough is enough. For too long, we have been victims of such attacks without receiving justice or support.” He added that, as a filmmaker, he believes everyone desires a story of retribution, making PM Modi a hero in this narrative.
Bhatt further commented on India’s current stance of remaining non-aligned, praising the government’s ability to maintain neutrality when many countries have chosen sides. He acknowledged the courage required to stay neutral, as there is often pressure from powerful nations to adopt their perspectives. “Our government has not succumbed to this pressure. We have condemned wrongdoings without bias and praised the right actions. This is a rare sign of a mature democracy that does not feel the need to align with any bloc,” he stated.
When asked about the open letter he wrote to PM Modi during the release of his film ‘Creature 3D’ in 2014, Bhatt reflected on the advancements in the entertainment industry, which is now on the brink of a transformative technological era. His upcoming film ‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’ is among the first to utilize this new technology.
