Lucknow, July 24 – In a fresh round of administrative reshuffling, the Uttar Pradesh government has transferred five Indian Police Service (IPS) officers late on Wednesday night. The transfers primarily involve changes within the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) and Police Training School (PTS) units across the state.

Key Transfers and Appointments:

Niharika Sharma, currently posted at the Reserve Store in Kanpur Nagar, has been appointed as the Acting Commandant of the 26th Battalion, PAC, Gorakhpur.

Rohan P. Kanay, who was serving as Deputy Inspector General (DIG), PTS Gorakhpur, has been relieved of his current posting and attached to the Police Headquarters.

Poonam, DIG of the PAC Section in Agra, has now been transferred as the DIG/Principal of PTS Meerut.

Satyendra Kumar, who was holding the post of DIG, PTS Meerut, has been placed in the waiting list, relieving him of current duties.

Anil Kumar I, who was Additional Superintendent of Police, PTS Gorakhpur, has now been promoted and posted as the Acting Principal of PTS Gorakhpur.
The Home Department issued the transfer order late on July 24, citing administrative requirements and reassignments within the state’s policing structure.
These reshuffles are part of the state government’s routine efforts to streamline training, strengthen PAC command structures, and enhance administrative efficiency.
