
Udaipur, December 4 – In a proud moment for Udaipur, progressive farmer Nanalal Sharma was honored with the prestigious Millionaire Farmers of India Award at a grand event held at ICAR Pusa, New Delhi. The award, presented by Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, Chairman of the Backward Classes Commission and former Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, recognized Sharma’s innovative practices in vegetable farming, leading to exceptional yield and productivity.
Dr. P.C. Bhatnagar, Senior Scientist, highlighted that the award program, sponsored by Mahindra Tractors, acknowledged outstanding contributions in agriculture. The nomination for Sharma was submitted by the Vidya Bhawan Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Badgaon.
Sharma’s achievement stands out as he was selected from among 22,000 farmers across the country, making him the only recipient from Udaipur district. This recognition underscores the region’s agricultural potential and Sharma’s pioneering efforts in modern farming techniques.
